Downrock in breaking refers to any of the moves done on the floor.
The 6 step is the foundation you begin with when learning downrock.
Begin in a crouching position on your toes and support yourself on your hands in this move (palms not on the floor though). Stay on yor toes!
1. Extend the left leg across towards the right corner of the room. The leg is straight.
2. Bring the right leg just behind the left leg so both knees are bent.
3. Bring the left leg over to the left so it's facing the front.
4. Now bring the right leg over to the left and wrap it around the left leg so both knees are bent.
5. Bring the left leg back.
6. Bring the right leg back so now you are in a crouching position with body slightly forward supported on both hands.
Steps 1 and 2 you can support yourself using your left arm and half way through step 3 and 4 switch to the right arm to balance yourself on the other side.
