Pop

Popping is a dance technique, each individual pop or hit taking up 1 beat.

This is where you should begin learning.

How To Do It

1. Contract (tense) the muscles in your arm.

2. Relax the muscles in your arm.

3. Now combine the 2 steps above into 1 beat so that you contract and relax the muscles in a beat. This is a pop.

4. Repeat this with different parts of the body, e.g. the leg muscles, the neck, the chest etc.

5. Now try and pop various muscle groups at the same time, for example the arms and the legs together.

With practice you will be be able to pop harder and the pops will look much stronger.
